Waterpik brand unit:
Use at pressure setting 6-7 for teeth & implants.
You can start at a lower setting for comfort & work your way up to a level 6-7.
Use warm water, not cold water.
Sometimes we may suggest using a mixture of 4 parts warm water and 1 part hydrogen peroxide.
Position yourself at the sink and lean forward to gaze into the drain while using your water flosser. Direct the tip at a right angle to the gumline, tracing the natural shape of your gums. When cleaning between your teeth, move the tip up and down to effectively address the contact points.
Oral irrigation is not a substitute for regular brushing and flossing; rather, it serves as an effective supplemental tool to help cleanse the oral cavity.
